Houston Homebuilder Secures more than 180 Acres for a New Single-Family Residential Community on the Eastern Shoreline of Lake Houston

Houston, Texas (November 21, 2024) – Residential community developer Sullivan Brothers Builders Ltd. recently completed the purchase of two adjacent land parcels on the eastern shoreline of Lake Houston. The combined acreage of the parcels is more than 181 acres, which will be developed into a residential community by Sullivan Brothers Builders. The site is located in the Huffman area of Harris County, Texas.

The adjacent parcels, which are separated by a fresh-water canal, include a 157.26-acre northern parcel and a 23.41-acre southern parcel. The planned expansion of East Lake Houston Parkway will serve the new community, which is also bordered by Lake Houston on the east and the recently improved FM 2100 on the west.

Duane Heckmann and Kirk Laguarta with Land Advisors Organization represented the seller, 157 Huffman Ltd & Muduganti I. Reddy, in the transaction. The buyer is Houston-based Sullivan Brothers Builders Ltd., which has been building thoughtfully designed customized homes throughout the Greater Houston and Galveston area since 1999.

“Harris County has been rapidly growing and with the recent improvement of FM 2100, builders are being drawn to the area,” Laguarta said. “Sullivan Brothers has a great reputation for creating lifestyle communities in Houston and Galveston and this new site has all the elements to bring another of their signature communities to the area.”

Construction of the new community is expected to begin once utilities are provided to the site.
